Nearly 70 organisations call on the UK Chancellor to supercharge energy efficiency
AgilityEco has joined nearly 70 organisations calling on UK Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng to use the planned fiscal event this Friday (23rd September) to support energy efficiency at scale.
Led by E3G, the wide-ranging coalition includes major consumer groups Citizens Advice and Which?, energy companies EDF and OVO, financial groups such as the Building Society Association, as well as local bodies such as the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.
They are joined by major charities including Age UK, National Trust and Greenpeace.
Sharon Johnson, CEO at AgilityEco said:
“Making Britain’s homes more energy efficient is the only sustainable way to reduce energy use and end fuel poverty. We hope the Chancellor will use this opportunity to build on the Government’s existing retrofit programmes and provide greater support for insulation and low carbon heating measures – especially in households that are on low incomes and vulnerable to the cold.”
