AgilityEco wins Funding Provider of the Year at the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2019
AgilityEco, a recognised leader in low carbon, energy efficiency and fuel poverty services, has won “Funding Provider of the Year 2019” at the National Energy Efficiency Awards.
The award, presented at a ceremony at the NEC in Birmingham on Friday 27th September, celebrated the success of AgilityEco’s energy efficiency projects funded by ECO, Warm Home Discount Industry Initiatives and the Warm Homes Fund. In particular, the award recognised AgilityEco’s expertise in three areas; building partnerships of public, private and third sector organisations; blending funding sources to create holistic solutions; and identifying opportunities to improve both its existing services and those of the wider energy efficiency sector as a whole.
Working in close partnership with energy companies and a network of local installation partners, the AgilityEco ECO delivery team provides compliant measures to go towards energy company obligation targets, simultaneously working with over 160 local authorities and housing associations around Britain, helping them to support their most vulnerable residents through outreach services and community energy efficiency programmes.
Last year AgilityEco:
- Unlocked £35 million in funding for its clients and partners
- installed 93,809 energy efficiency measures
- achieved £177 million of lifetime energy bill savings from measures installed
- abated 767,937 tonnes of CO2
Head of Business Development James Sommerville, who collected the award on behalf of AgilityEco, said: “We’re very proud to have won the award for Funding Provider of the Year at the National Energy Efficiency Awards. It’s testament to our highly skilled team and their outstanding ability to unlock funding from a variety of different sources, and then make this funding work to deliver positive and life-changing outcomes for low-income, fuel-poor and vulnerable households.”
The technical and compliance support offered as part of the wider relationship with installers, I believe, is unrivalled at this time. It was an outstanding entry

AgilityEco was kindly nominated for the award by JNR Contracting. Jamie Robson, MD of JNR Contracting said: “AgilityEco’s wealth of technical and commercial experience has assisted us greatly in securing funding for a wide range of projects. As well as funding ECO insulation and heating works, AgilityEco has raised the bar by being able to secure consistent funding for energy efficiency advice, income maximisation, emergency boiler repair and replacement, upgrading inefficient white goods, and anything else that can be done to help fuel poor households reduce their bills and stay warm and well.
“The team live up to their name by being very flexible in how they operate. They are also completely independent and by working with a wide range of energy companies they can offer great value, along with helpful payment terms. I couldn’t think of a better recipient for this award.”
