Digital Technology in Heritage - Arup Cultural Heritage Week
Supporting Arup Cultural Heritage Week
Digital Technology in Heritage
Monday 19th October 2015
6pm registration for 6.30pm start
AgilityEco is at the forefront of applying digital technologies to advance energy efficiency and low carbon interventions in the built environment. Alongside BRE, our urbaneer project is pioneering the use of cutting-edge monitoring technology to gather energy and environmental data in residential blocks. We use this to provide rich information on the energy use and comfort of residents, which in turn can help to: diagnose the root cause of problem buildings; optimise low carbon retrofitting; and look after the health and wellbeing of vulnerable residents. When complete, urbaneer will help landlords develop an accurate understanding of how energy is used in tower blocks, improve overall building energy performance and reduce high energy bills for residents.
Leading consulting engineers Arup have been supporting us in the urbaneer project. We wanted to let you know about an exciting event they’re hosting next week to explore how the application of digital technology can enable new and more effective ways to work with heritage assets in their planning, preservation and regeneration. Digital technology specialists from a number of disciplines will talk about current and emerging best practice and we think you may find this event interesting.
