Poplar HARCA wins sustainable housing provider of the year!
The Sustainable Housing Awards 2013 took place at the Lancaster London Hotel on Friday 18 October 2013 among 600 industry professionals to recognise the very best of the social housing sector.
Sustainability is one of the most pressing issues affecting the sector and the Sustainable Housing Awards, launched in 2008, celebrates the projects and organisations at the vanguard of housing sustainability best practice.
Among the worthy finalists, Poplar HARCA were up for four awards and scooped the Sustainable Housing Provider of the Year!
Poplar HARCA is a registered social landlord which owns and manages around 8,500 homes in Poplar & Bow, East London. Their role is to help bring about the social, urban and economic regeneration of the Poplar area and as part of their aim to meet the need for good quality affordable housing, Poplar HARCA engaged AgilityEco, in partnership with Pellings LLP, to create and deliver an energy efficiency strategy for the benefit of its residents.
