AgilityEco celebrates ten years of impact within the energy efficiency sector
Leading energy efficiency company AgilityEco celebrates its tenth anniversary this month.
Founded in 2013, it has supported hundreds of thousands of low income and vulnerable households across Britain with fully funded energy saving measures and expert advice from its flagship community programme LEAP (Local Energy Advice Partnership).
The last decade has seen continuous growth for the company. By working closely with energy suppliers, councils and charities, it has built up its award-winning fuel poverty programmes such as LEAP. The result - hundreds of millions of lifetime energy bill and carbon savings for hard-pressed families.
This year AgilityEco has also cemented its mission to help vulnerable people living in fuel poverty and to prepare Britain’s homes for Net Zero by securing B Corp certification.
AgilityEco will continue to develop its growing network of local authorities, housing associations, and supply chain partners to deliver nationwide and regional schemes. This includes managing and delivering multi-million pound schemes for over thirty councils including Portsmouth, Oxfordshire and Sheffield.
It also runs national programmes such as the Connected for Warmth insulation and heating programme in partnership with National Grid and Affordable Warmth Solutions.
AgilityEco is pleased that its pledge to deliver and quantify its social and environmental impact is supported by Bridges Evergreen, who joined as a strategic investor in November 2019.
CEO of AgilityEco, Sharon Johnson, said:
“I’m immensely proud of all the amazing work that AgilityEco has achieved over the last ten years. As a business, we’ve come so far from delivering our very first ECO contracts to managing significant energy efficiency programmes across the whole of Britain.
Our work with government and other organisations has been instrumental in defining the fuel-poverty landscape and we look forward to making further contributions to energy efficiency policy. And, as we move forward with our plans for the future, we hope we will be able to support a wider array of organisations and more customers, including those able to afford to pay for improvements to their homes.
We’ve been working closely with an amazing group of partners in the public, private and community sectors, including our first-class network of supply chain partners, and I’d like to thank each and every one for their support."
Tom Biddle, Partner and Head of Bridges Evergreen, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to back AgilityEco and its brilliant team. Over the past decade, its programmes have generated tremendous positive impact for so many households in vulnerable situations; and since our investment in 2019, the business has really gone from strength to strength. We look forward to seeing it continue to lead the way in tackling fuel poverty and supporting the UK’s journey to net zero.”
Jon Owens, Senior Environmental & Social Programmes Manager at Shell Energy Retail Limited, said:
"We have worked with AgilityEco for the majority of their 10 years, in partnership on all iterations of ECO and the Warm Home Discount scheme. We have always found them knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about the energy efficiency and fuel poverty sectors that they are such an important part of. We look forward to continuing to do so in the future”.
Ian Morrall, Managing Director at Dyson Energy Services, said:
"Dyson Energy Services is proud of our long-established relationship with AgilityEco over the last decade, working in partnership to deliver large-scale energy efficiency projects in both social housing and private sector markets, across the UK. We share AgilityEco’s mission and commitment to tackling fuel poverty and supporting the government in achieving its net-zero targets. Their passion for driving a sustainable future for generations to come is second to none.
“We wish our longstanding valued partner, many happy returns on this major milestone, celebrating 10 years in the energy efficiency industry and wish the AgilityEco team continued success for the next 10 years and beyond."
