Green Deal Home Improvement Fund due to re-open imminently

Don’t miss out – at least £30 million  is about to be made available to homeowners so they can install energy saving improvements including solid wall insulation.

The Green Deal Home Improvement Fund (GDHIF) is a government incentive, first launched in June 2014, providing householders, landlords and tenants with money-back vouchers to help cover the cost of more expensive energy efficiency measures.

The previous round of GDHIF funding closed in July 2014 and provided up to £6,000 towards the cost of energy efficiency improvements per household.  Due to popular demand, applications for the last round of funding closed just six weeks after it had been announced.

The second phase of the scheme is set to open for applications before the end of November 2014. The noises we are hearing from Government suggest that the level of subsidy available will be much lower this time around (potentially £3,000-£4,000 per home) and that each application may need to be accompanied by a Green Deal Assessment Report.

Once the scheme re-opens, vouchers will be given out on a “first come, first served” basis, so you will have to move quickly. If you are interested in the scheme and would like to register your details with us, please call us on 01296 311898 or email info@agilitysurvey.co.uk where we will place your details on a waiting list and will be in touch as soon as we have more information.
