Celebrating Success at the National Energy Efficiency Awards
2 October 2023
At this year's National Energy Efficiency Awards, held on Friday 29th September, AgilityEco and its partners walked away with a record number of accolades. These awards celebrate exceptional contributions to energy efficiency and sustainability, uniting industry leaders, innovators, and advocates dedicated to reducing energy consumption and promoting responsible energy use.
Winner - Insulation and Fabric Project of the Year – Connected for Warmth
The highlight of the evening for us was a win for Connected for Warmth (CFW), our groundbreaking insulation programme which is funded by National Grid and delivered in partnership with Affordable Warmth Solutions (AWS). We launched this programme less than a year ago and have already installed loft and cavity wall insulation into thousands of homes nationwide, along with heating controls, LEDs and other energy saving measures.
Third Place – AgilityEco - Social Responsibility Company of the Year
We became a certified B Corporation earlier this year, so were proud to secure third place in this category, which recognises dedication to responsible business practices and the positive impact they have on both the community and the environment.
Special Commendation - Warmer Homes - Multi-Measure Project of the Year
The Warmer Homes consortium of 23 councils is led by Portsmouth City Council, and has been supported for many years by AgilityEco. Together we have delivered one of the most successful Local Authority Delivery (LAD) schemes in the country, along with Home Upgrade Grants and low carbon heating, and offer a huge range of energy saving measures to low income households across the South and East of England.
Portsmouth City Council also received a "Special Commendation" in the "Local Authority of the Year" category. We felt this was well deserved as they have been at the forefront of action to tackle both fuel poverty and the climate crisis.
Special Commendation – AgilityEco: Funding Provider of the Year
We have won before in this category, and are pleased that our continued efforts to provide our network of 60+ installation partners across Britain with comprehensive funding for a wide range of measures has been noted.
Special Commendation - Connected for Warmth - Boiler and Heating Project of the Year
Connected for Warmth also earned recognition for the heating side of the scheme, which has provided free first-time central heating to thousands of households. This year we have transitioned from installing both gas and heat pump systems to a fully low carbon offer - a crucial step towards reducing energy consumption and minimising environmental impact.
